MyspaceBio: www.myspace.com/thechaptercrew What do you really need to know about The Chapter? Let's see... The founding members (Verbal E. & 3Sixty) were born and raised in Chicago 6 houses away from each other but didn't meet until they both moved to Las Vegas to attend UNLV. They formed a live band and some years later was discovered by Amir "?uestlove" Thompson. He was so impressed with The Chapter's music that he selected them to appear on Okayplayer's True Note's Vol. 1 along side heavy weights such as The Roots, Little Brother, Supastition & Nicolay, Skillz, Jean Grae and many more. They went on to release an album called "Us vs. Them" which garnered the attention of XXL, SCRATCH, URB, XLR8R, VEGAS, MUG SHOT and many more. The consensus amongst the industry leaders is that this album is extraordinary, peerless and refreshing. |

MyspaceBio: www.myspace.com/supreemesupreeme Supreeme is the best (active) rap group in the world. It's three members, King Self, Negashi Armada, and Tom Cruz rap with style, razor sharp wit, youthful vigor, and agile flow. Not only do they overachieve lyrically but Tom Cruz's production is lightyears ahead of anybody in music right now. They all hail from Atlanta, GA and formed Supreeme in the spring of 2003 while still in highschool. From day one, they have approached making music with originality, excitement, and love, but have rarely been sentimental in subject matter or in the business world. They represent an evolution of rap that has little to do with the "Hip Hop" tradition or any of the old ways. |

MyspaceBio: www.myspace.com/unimuzik Born from the ashes of gangsta rap Los Angeles, California is experiencing an indie hip-hop resurgence. Inglewood rap duo U-N-I are the talk of the Internet and guiding hip-hop's path in the city by juxtaposing music with customized fashion. The two MC’s have loaded up on accolades over the past 2 years-- being named “Best Breakout LA Artist” at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards, featured in URB Magazine's “NEXT 1000,” XXL Magazine’s “New Kids in Town,” Billboard Magazine’s “Acts to Watch,” The Source Magazine’s “Unsigned Hype,” ending up on the “SoundBoard” of The Los Angeles Times and serving as the inaugural artists for Scheme Magazine's Schemer series--on the strength of their observant, life-affirming rhymes that revolve around everything from limited-edition sneakers to cosmic existentialism and old-school video games to down-home musings on life, declaring their love for music while appreciating plus-size ladies and enjoying lap dances. Though the two rappers--"Thurzday" (Yannick Koffi) and “Y-O” (Yonas Semere Michael)-- hail from an area of Los Angeles commonly associated with the trappings of violent ghetto life, their debut street album, Fried Chicken and Watermelon--powered, melodic and groovy, employing angelic strings, electro-bounce and Nintendo 64 scores--eschewed Dickies, lowriders and high-powered armory in favor of positing their lives against a greater Black experience that was at once earthly and universal. |

MyspaceBio: www.myspace.com/sabtheartist My name is Musab. I prefer to be called Sab, and yes it's pronounced like the car. I'm from South Minneapolis,MN and I've been writing, recording and performing music for sometime now since like 1993 but I didn't release my first album until 1996 entitled "Comparison" under the name Beyond. "Comparison" was the first 1st album off a label me and some homies started called Rhymesayers Entertainment. I had no idea what that would amount to at the time but I guess it's done pretty well as far as Indie Hip Hop goes. Once "Comparison" was released, I did a B-sides album entitled the BE-sides in 1998 which is a project I'm currently working on getting re-released. Next RSE did a venture with Fat Beats records and I released an EP in 2000 entitled "Actin' Rich" under my real name Musab. It was dope but it didn't make the impact I would have liked it to make.... Oh well.
