Talib, David Banner Hit The Road On Hip Hop Live! Tour
A number of diverse Hip-Hop artists will participate in the upcoming Hip Hop
Live! Tour, which is being produced by Flow TV and The Agency Group. Talib
Kweli, David Banner, Little Brother and new artist B.O.B. will take the stage
backed by the 10-piece band Rhythm Roots All Stars, which will back each artist
as they perform live versions of their hit singles. The tour kicks off September
28th at Cane’s in San Diego, before winding down at the Nokia Theater in Times
Square in New York on October 25. The Hip Hop Live! Tour will hit 19 markets
during the outing, which will also include appearances by special guests in
various cities.
Foreign Exchange "Leave It All Behind"
In a post on the Foreign Exchange’s Myspace page, Nicolay announced that the new Foreign Exchange record, Leave It All Behind, is almost finished.
Nicolay revealed that the title track, “Leave It All Behind” is one of his
personal favorites, and that other song titles include “Sweeter Than You” and
“House of Cards.” The Foreign Exchange have been working on the album since
2006, and, according to Nicolay, “it feels good knowing that the finish line is
finally in sight.”

KRS One Headline Scribble Jam '08
It has just been announced that Atmosphere & KRS One will headline Scribble Jam '08. The tour will culminate October 23-26 in Cincinnati, Ohio and
will feature MC, DJ and B-Boy battles as well as a graffiti exhibition. During
the course of the 32 city tour stops, aspiring MCs will have an opportunity to
earn a spot in the final MC battle on the tour.
Tour dates are still being announced, but the first show will
take place August 26 in New York.
Tribe Out...Black Star in@ Denver Rock The Bells
A statement from band members Q-Tip, Ali and Jarobi expressed disappointment and
said Tribe member Phife Dawg’s diabetes related-health issues necessitated the
cancellation. Festival promoter Guerilla Union also announced the addition of
the hip-hop supergroup Black Star, featuring Mos Def and Talib Kweli.
Snoop Ban In Australia lifted
A ban on Hip-Hop star Snoop Dogg has been lifted,
allowing him to perform in Australia. Immigration officials confirmed that Snoop
Dogg, 38, will be allowed to tour the country with rapper Ice Cube for 17 days,
starting on October 21. Snoop Dogg was prevented from entering the country in
April 2007, after former Immigration Minister Kevin Andrews blocked the rapper
from entering Australia, due to his extensive criminal record.
